With Australia's Eurovision artist being announced on March 6, the rumours have gone into overdrive.

This week, a quiz on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show appeared to say that Dami Im was coming back to do Eurovision for Australia this year.

However, Ken Outch, manager of Dami Im, confirmed to Aussievision today that she will not be competing.

“I can confirm that Dami has not been approached for Eurovision this year. Dami is focused on writing for her new album and preparing for upcoming Korean book release."

Dami Im competed at Eurovision for Australia in 2016 with 'Sound of Silence.' She achieved Australia's best placing to date when runner-up to Jamal from Ukraine with '1944.'

Dannii Minogue was also rumoured to take part but also quashed those on the Kyle and Jackie O show.

“I don’t know that I would have the strength to get through it. I saw Dami do it, Kate did it bending around on this pole. Like guys, I am 52, I am not a J-Lo at the Superbowl,” she said.

Before concluding: “It’s not there for me in my future,"

Australia will compete in semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2024. See details of our draw here.

So, who should compete for Australia? Well back in June 2023 we put together a top ten after a vote from Eurovision fans, check it out here.
