Daði Freyr set to “appear" Down Under for his 'Eurovision 2021' virtual world tour



Today Daði Freyr is launching his virtual world tour in Reykjavík, Iceland, as he prepares to head to Rotterdam for Eurovision 2021. He will virtually visit over 30 countries across six continents. You can watch the start of his holographic performance for the next 72 hours via https://road2rotterdam.com.

Each day he will “travel” to a new location until he arrives in Rotterdam on May 19. He is set to perform at Eurovision 2021 in semi final two and is 8th in the running order with his entry ’10 Years’. You can check out more about their entry here.


Luckily for the Australian fans he is set to “appear” Down Under in Sydney, Australia on May 7 for his virtual performance, if you visit the website you can put in your location to get a reminder, just follow the instructions.


Daði has also revealed that he will playing a new unreleased song for the virtual world tour.


During the week Daði & Gagnamagnið released their highly awaited music video for their Icelandic Eurovision 2021 entry ’10 Years’. The music video includes a cameo from Icelandic-American actor Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, who played, Neils Brongus, the president of RÚV, Iceland's national public service broadcaster in the Eurovision film ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga’. In '10 Years' he plays the Mayor of Iceland who asks for Daði to defeat a monster.
