Bulgaria: Artist selection semi-final results

This morning Australia time fifteen artists were whittled down to eight as Bulgaria began the process of selecting its entry for Eurovision 2026.

Each artist performed one of the existing songs from their repertoire.

The results were decided by five jury members who scored each performance out of five.

The jury members for this show were:

• Toni Dimitrova – Singer

• Milen Mitev – Director General of BNR

• Vasil Petrov – Singer

• Petŭr Dundakov – Composer

• Rushi – Singer and actor

The public also voted and awarded 15 points to their favourite all the way down to one point to their least favourite. 

Originally seven acts were due to move onto the next round of the competition, but because there was a tie in points for seventh place, eight acts in total moved through.

Former Bulgarian Eurovision participants Kristian Kostov (2017) and Victoria (2021) made appearances during the show as interval acts.

The final of the artist selection will be held next week Saturday 31 January. Bulgaria's artist for Eurovision 2026 will be chosen at that show, with the song selection held on Saturday 28 February.
