Australia selects Jaguar Jonze for the OGAE Song Contest 2020

The International Eurovision Fan Group OGAE has been holding the OGAE Song Contest each year since 1986.

The contest sees OGAE national clubs enter an original song from their nation released in the previous 12 months and sung in one of the country's official languages.

The OGAE Australia club has been busy over the last month shortlisting songs for members to vote on and today the results were released.

Jaguar Jonze and her song 'Kill Me With Your Love' was selected to represent Australia in 2020.

This is the second time OGAE Australia have selected Jaguar Jonze for an OGAE contest this year.

Last month her Australia Decides song 'Rabbit Hole' was voted by members to represent the club in the OGAE Second Chance contest.

The OGAE Song Contest will be hosted by the United Kingdom club after they won in 2019 with Lewis Capaldi's 'Somone You Love'. This was a back-to-back win after Steps took out the 2018 contest with 'Scared of the Dark'.

Australia has also tasted success in our brief history with the contest. After Delta Goodrem narrowly missed out in 2016 with 'Wings', Dami Im won the 2017 contest with 'Fighting for Love'.

She is not the only former Eurovision entrant to win the contest with Pastora Soler, Nina Zilli, Elena Paparizou and Mary Roos among previous winners.

Voting in the contest will be done through the official fan clubs.
