Australia's Eurovision star Delta Goodrem wows at Commonwealth Games closing ceremony

Australia's Eurovision star Delta Goodrem has performed at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony.


After delivering Australia's best Eurovision results in May,Delta Goodrem has taken to another global stage.


The Eurovision 2026 star headlined the closing ceremony of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, performing a five-song medley that included her Eurovision entry Eclipse.


Delta opened the performance with Born to Try before the Commonwealth Games flag bearers entered the arena to Sitting on Top of the World. She then performed Eclipse, Lost Without You and closed the ceremony with Wings.


Later in the ceremony, Goodrem returned to the stage alongside Scottish singer Cammy Barnes for a performance of John Farnham's classic You're the Voice.


Throughout the performance she was joined on stage by her musician husband Matthew Copley on guitar.


The appearance continues Goodrem's long association with the Commonwealth Games. She first performed at the Melbourne 2006 Opening Ceremony with Together We Are One before returning to headline the Gold Coast 2018 Opening Ceremony, where she debuted the official Games anthem Welcome to Earth.


Glasgow marks her third Commonwealth Games performance and another major international showcase following Eurovision 2026 in Vienna.


In May, Goodrem represented Australia at Eurovision with Eclipse, finishing fourth in the Grand Final. It was Australia's best Eurovision result since 2016 and the country's second-highest placing since debuting in the contest in 2015.


The performance rounded out a successful Commonwealth Games for Australia, which finished on top of the medal table with 70 gold medals and 171 medals overall before the curtain came down in Glasgow.
