Name and where you live
Hey! My name is Domenic, and I was born and raised in the southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia where I currently live. I also spent some time studying in Bolonga, Italy - just a little further from Perth.

Tell us a little bit about yourself
As a soon-to-be journalism graduate, I spend most of my time invested in what is happening in the world around me. I am particularly drawn to politics and culture stories with experience in covering state and local government affairs. My friends will often come to me for explainers on world news stories or even ask me to predict the future like some sort of wizard. At the core, I just believe being aware about the news is crucial, which is why what I study forms a massive chunk of who I am!
When I'm not so caught up in all that, I love to be at the beach, vlogging something, or catching up with family and friends.

Travel is also a passion of mine. Since finishing high school, I have taken to the skies and flown around the world many times, making a killer airport playlist while doing so. I also did an exchange program in International Law and Italian in Bologna in 2025, which to this day has to be the most amazing experience I have ever had.
What is your Eurovision journey?
My first memory of Eurovision is a curious 10 year-old Domenic overhearing my mother and cousin talk about the big news of Australia's participation in early 2015. From that moment, a new passion exploded. I would spend nights up on my iPad Mini watching old editions, particularly drawn to the voting sequences.
My first early wakeup to watch a live contest was 2017, where I supported Italy (of course) and Bulgaria. Since then, Eurovision has been a fundamental part of the year for me. In 2023, I was fortunate enough to travel to Liverpool to experience the contest in-person. I watched the afternoon preview of the final and then headed to the Eurovision village to watch the live show. Seeing thousands of people come together in pure love and happiness was a really beautiful thing to see.
Do you have any affinity with nations other than Australia?
Italy, of course! Both sides of my family migrated to Australia from central/south Italy in the 1960s and 1970s. As a result, being Italian is an important part of my identity. Italy's entry is almost always my winner, and if not, they will definitely appear in my podium. I cannot help it!
My passion for Eurovision, unfortunately, could not even try to compete with my passion for Festival di Sanremo. This compeition, and other aspects of Italian culture, have been a massive part of the way I grew up. Italian music is all I consistently listen to, and as a result I always support Italy alongside Australia every year.
I also love Albania at Eurovision. I feel as though every year they bring something authentic and powerful to Eurovision, and I strongly believe a win is on the way for them!
Any Aussievision highlights?
My time at Aussievision has been short thus far, but being able to be a part of covering such a big and multi-faceted event has been so much fun already. Looking forward to what is to come!
