Anja Nissen releases her new single 'If We Only Had Tonight'

Anja Nissen has released her new single ‘If We Only Had Tonight’, her first as an independent artist.

Anja first teased fans in late May that she was working on new music and followed this up with a release date and new website launch in mid June.  A thirty second teaser was shared with fans on Tuesday hinting that the song has a piano ballad sound.

An Australian of Danish heritage, Anja won the third series of The Voice Australia in 2014.  She released several singles after her win including one with will.i.am and Cody Wise.  In 2016 and 2017, she participated in Denmark’s 'Melodi Grand Prix', winning the event on her second attempt and going on to represent Denmark at Eurovision where she finished in 20th place.

After Eurovision, Anja moved to Los Angeles to study at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.  She now has a US work visa and has been based in Los Angeles, although is currently living in Copenhagen.

‘If We Only Had Tonight’ is Anja’s first music release since the ‘Where I Am’ EP released by Universal after her Eurovision performance in 2017.  Over the past few years she has posted several covers on her YouTube channel and her social media followers have been treated in the last few days to a couple of snippets of covers of ‘Double Trouble’ and ‘Husavik’ from Netflix’s ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga’.

‘If We Only Had Tonight’ is available now on iTunes and Google Play and streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.
