Ukraine: Alina Pash wins Vidbir 2022



Ukraine has delivered yet another strong edition of their national final 'Vidbir 2022' where eight acts performed for the chance to be chosen as Ukraine's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.


For a show infamous for its drama in previous editions, this years final was a smooth production (despite some scoreboard issues) which saw fan-favourite Alina Pash win it all and will represent the nation in Turin.



Alina Pash saw strong support leading up to Vidbir 2022. The song, 'Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors' stood out with its blend of traditional sounds with soaring vocals, spoken word and even some bird noises thrown in! Alina took top spot in both Jury and Televote scores.

The spectacle national final ran for a mammoth four hours which saw Ukraine's 2021 Eurovision representatives Go_A open the show with Shum.


Other interval acts included performances from two of the evenings judges Jamala and Tina Karol as well as the recent Ukrainian Junior Eurovision artists performing a medley of the nations biggest Eurovision hits.
