The Voice Australia winner and 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2019 artist, Alfie Arcuri, is back with his latest single release, 'Happy'.
The Adele-inspired piece explores love and loss with buckets of Alfie's classic star-quality vocals to enjoy. A piano-driven track that masterfully explores the dichotomy of breaking up with someone, experiencing all the pain but simultaneously finding the strength to wish them well and move on to the next chapter in your life.
Emotion oozes out of this track, tapping into a similar vein to of his first self-penned single 'If Only They Knew'.
Speaking on 'Happy', Acuri stated:
“It's a song that speaks to the universal truth of having to let go, yet finding the strength to wish happiness for someone you once loved deeply”.
'Happy' is penned by Alfie and Seb Mont Holdinghausen and produced by Quinn, known for working with the likes of Guy Sebastian, Rita Ora, Lime Cordiale, G-Flip, and other icons of Aussie music. The single offers an authentic and quality single to add to the rapidly growing list of Alfie's back catalog.
The music video is directed, filmed, and edited by Frace Luke Mercado of Fluke Media and features close and personal cinematography of Alfie to deliver the emotional ballad.
The singer/songwriter shares:
“I hope that through this song, listeners will find comfort, healing, and perhaps a sense of closure in their own journeys”.
Arcuri is days away from performing in the lead-up to Sydney Mardi Gras at "UN-HYDE YOUR PRIDE" Party at Pullman Sydney - tickets are available here. Back in 2016, Alfie Arcuri was the first openly gay winner of The Voice Australia.
