This weekend will be the first semi final of the most famous national final, Sweden's Melodifestivalen.

There will be four semi finals, with two artists going on to the Final, while another two will go to the 'Andra chansen' (or second chance) round in the week before the Final.

The seven acts and songs performing (in running order) are:

  1. The Mamas - 'Move'

  2. Suzi P - 'Moves'

  3. Robin Bengtsson - 'Take a Chance'

  4. Malou Prytz - 'Ballerina'

  5. OVÖ - 'Inga problem'

  6. Sonja Aldén - 'Sluta aldrig gå'

  7. Felix Sandman - 'Boys with Emotions'

There are some familiar names in this list.

Robin Bengtsson finished 5th at Eurovision in 2017 with his treadmill inspired staging of 'I Can't Go On'.

Also gracing the Eurovision stage recently is 'The Mamas', you may know them as the back up singers to John Lundvik's song 'Too Late for Love' from Tel Aviv.

Felix Sandman finished runner-up at Melfest back in 2018 behind Benjamin Ingrosso while Malous Prytz made the final of Melfest last year.

Although the songs won't be released fully before the show, 1 minute long snippets were revealed by SVT.

You can watch the first semi final of Melodifestivalen at 20:00 CET 1 February which is 06:00 AEDT 2 February in Australia.
