How to travel to Eurovision 2023 host cities from the Asia Pacific

We recently published our Eurovision host city profiles for Aussies which included details on how to travel to each bid city from Australia.


Our team at Aussievision decided to look at how Eurovision fans in our region of the Asia Pacific could reach these cities as well.


Although we could not include every nation in the region, we have focused on key cities for travel and countries with a large Eurovision fan base.


Take a look at how you can reach the potential Eurovision host cities from the Asia Pacific:


Birmingham



India:

Many flights from Delhi to Birmingham with one stop including Air France via Paris, Lufthansa via Munich, KLM via Amsterdam, Emirates via Dubai and many more. There is also an Air India flight which is direct from Amritsar.


Indonesia:

Emirates and Turkish Airlines fly to Birmingham from Jakarta with a stopover in Dubai and Istanbul respectively.


Japan:

Air France via Paris, Lufthansa via Frankfurt and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul all fly to Birmingham from Tokyo with that one stop over.


Malaysia:

Emirates via Dubai, Turkish via Istanbul and KLM via Amsterdam fly to Birmingham from Kuala Lumpur with one stopover.


New Zealand:

Emirates fly to Birmingham from Auckland via Dubai.


Philippines:

Emirates & Turkish Airlines fly from Manila to Birmingham with a stopover in Istanbul.


Singapore:

Many flights with one stop including Swiss via Zurich, KLM via Amsterdam, Emirates via Dubai, Lufthansa via Frankfurt, Air France via Paris and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul.


Thailand

Many flights from Bangkok with one stop including Swiss via Zurich, KLM via Amsterdam, Emirates via Dubai, Lufthansa via Munich, Air France via Paris and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul.


Vietnam:

Emirates fly from Hanoi to Birmingham with one stop in Dubai


Glasgow



India:

Many flights with one stop including British Airways via London, Lufthansa via Frankfurt, KLM via Amsterdam and more.


Indonesia:

Emirates fly from Jakarta to Glasgow with a stopover in Dubai.


Japan:

British Airways fly to Glasgow from Tokyo with one stopover in London.


Malaysia:

Emirates and KLM fly to Glasgow from Kuala Lumpur with one stop in Dubai and Amsterdam respectively.


New Zealand:

Emirates flies to Glasgow from Auckland with one stop in Dubai.


Philippines:

Emirates & Turkish Airlines fly from Manila to Birmingham with a stopover in Istanbul.


Singapore:

Many flights with one stop including British via London, KLM via Amsterdam, Emirates via Dubai, Lufthansa via Frankfurt.


Thailand:

Emirates and KLM fly from Bangkok to Glasgow with a stop in Dubai and Amsterdam respectively.


Vietnam:

Emirates from to Glasgow from Hanoi with one stop in Dubai.



Leeds



India:

KLM fly to Leeds from Delhi via Amsterdam.


Indonesia:

Garuda fly to Amsterdam from Jakarta where there is a change of airlines to KLM who fly to Leeds.


Japan:

All Nippon Airlines flies to Vienna from Tokyo where there is a change of airlines to Jet2 who fly to Leeds.


Malaysia:

KLM fly to Leeds from Kuala Lumpur via Amsterdam.


New Zealand:

No flights with only one stop, the fastest (just over 27 hours) with two stops is Qantas from Auckland to New York then switching to KLM who fly to Leeds via a stop in Amsterdam.


Philippines:

KLM, China Eastern Airlines & Philippine Airlines fly to Leeds with stopovers in Shanghai or Hangzhou and then Amsterdam.


Singapore:

KLM fly from Singapore to Leeds with a stop in Amsterdam.


Thailand:

KLM fly from Bangkok to Leeds with a stop in Amsterdam.


Vietnam:

Vietnam Airlines fly from Hanoi to Paris, change to Jet2 to fly to Leeds.


Liverpool



India:

KLM fly to Amsterdam from Delhi with a change of flight to Easyjet to fly to Liverpool. Air India fly to Frankfurt with a change to Lufthansa who fly to Liverpool from there.


Indonesia:

KLM and Garuda fly to Amsterdam from Jakarta with a change of flight to Easyjet to fly to Liverpool.


Japan:

Lufthansa fly to Liverpool from Tokyo with a stopover in Frankfurt.


Malaysia:

KLM fly to Amsterdam from Kuala Lumpur with a change of flight to Easyjet to fly to Liverpool.


New Zealand:

No flights with one stop, the fastest (just under 30 hours) is Air New Zealand from Auckland to Vancouver, then Air Canada to Dublin, then Ryanair rom Dublin to Liverpool.


Philippines:

China Eastern Airlines fly from Manila to Liverpool via Shanghai then connect with KLM in Amsterdam to finish the journey


Singapore:

KLM fly to Amsterdam from Singapore with a change of flight to Easyjet to fly to Liverpool.


Thailand:

Thai Airways fly to Stockholm with a change of flight to Ryanair to Stockholm. Additionally, KLM fly to Amsterdam from Bangkok with a change of flight to Easyjet to fly to Liverpool.


Vietnam:

Vietnam Airlines flies from Hanoi to Frankfurt, change to Lufthansa to fly to Liverpool.


Manchester



India:

Many flights from Delhi with one stop including British Airways via London, Air France via Paris, Lufthansa via Munich or Frankfurt, Emirates via Dubai, Qatar via Doha and many more.


Indonesia:

Many flights from Jakarta with one stop including Emirates via Dubai, Qatar via Doha, Saudia via Jeddah, Cathay via Hong Kong and more.


Japan:

Many flights from Tokyo with one stop including British Airways via London, Lufthansa via Munich or Frankfurt, Scandinavian Airlines via Copenhagen, Air France via Paris and more.


Malaysia:

Many flights to Manchester with one stop including Emirates via Dubai, Qatar via Doha, Saudia via Jeddah, Cathay via Hong Kong, Etihad via Abu Dhabi, Singapore via Singapore and more.


New Zealand:

Emirates and Singapore Airlines fly to Manchester from Auckland with a stop in Dubai and Singapore respectively.


Philippines:

Many flights from Manila to Manchester with one stop including Qatar via Doha, Emirates via Dubai, Cathay via Hong Kong, Gulf Air Bahrain via Manama, Singapore via Singapore, Turkish via Istanbul


Singapore:

Singapore airlines fly direct to Manchester from Singapore.


Thailand:
