Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir host 'Australia Decides' viewing party

For Sydneysiders not attending 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' on the Gold Coast, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir invite you to join their viewing party on the night.

The party, doubling as a season launch and fundraiser, will be held at The Chippo Hotel from 6:30pm on Saturday 8 February.

The Choir is planning a Eurovision Concert in May, and will also give a sneak peak performance on the night.

The Choir's social activities coordinator Andrew said that creating an event for LGBTQI+ audiences to watch it together seemed only natural.

"I grew up watching Eurovision with my family, gathering around the TV together to laugh and sing and argue over what we enjoyed the most, so when I heard the theme for our upcoming concert was Eurovision I was adamant I wanted to do some sort of event in the lead up."

'Eurovision - Australia Decides' will see 10 artists compete to win a spot on the Eurovision stage representing Australia. They include Vanessa Amorosi, Casey Donovan, Mitch Tambo,

iOTA, Montaigne, Didirri, Diana Rouvas, Jack Vidgen, Jordan-Ravi and Jaguar Jonze.

Six songs have so far been released and you can get all details here.

Established in 1991, the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir is a not-for-profit, non-audition, LGBTQI+ choir open to everyone regardless of sexuality, gender, or musical ability.
