The Lithuanian broadcaster Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) has revealed the 30 acts that will compete in their national final 'Pabandom iš Naujo' to find the act to represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool.

'Pabandom iš Naujo' returns for another year after Monika Liu won last year with her song 'Sentimentai'. Lithuania's national final starts on January 21 and will run for five weeks with two heats, two semi finals, and the Grand Final to be held on February 18.

The line-up of artists revealed features artists who have previously competed in 'Pabandom iš Naujo' and new up-and-coming artists.

The Head of the Lithuanian Delegation, Audrius Giržadas, recently said:

“In recent years, in order to further raise the bar for the quality of the Eurovision national selection, we have provided support to the contestants. We will continue this, because we hope that in the selections we will see and hear both artists who attract full arenas and talented artists who are even less heard by the Lithuanian audience.”

The artists and the song titles revealed for 'Pabandom iš Naujo' 2023 are: (Check out underlined acts to listen to the entry)

Monika Linkytė

One Eurovision artist who is making a return to get another shot at the big stage is Monika Linkytė who represented Lithuania back in 2015 as part of a duet with Vaidas Baumila. ‘This Time’ finished in 18th place in the Grand Final. Monika was meant to compete in this years (2022) 'Pabandom iš Naujo' but ended up withdrawing.

In the artist line-up there are many returnees from previous Lithuanian national finals that include Aistė Pilvelytė, Donata, Gabrielius Vagelis, Gebrasy, Voldemaras Petersonas, Alen Chicco, Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio dantys and Justin 3 just to name a few.

Lithuania made their debut at Eurovision in 1994. Their first entry, 'Lopšinė mylimai' by Ovidijus Vyšniauskas unfortunately came last with nul points. Overall Lithuania has appeared 22 times in the Contest and reached the Grand Final on 15 occasions. Their best result came in 2006 with LT United's ambitious 'We Are the Winners' finishing in 6th place. This year, Monika Liu represented Lithuania with 'Sentimentai' making it to 14th place in the Eurovision Grand Final.
