The comments

A balkan pop banger with a message? I'm sold! It has an infectious beat, a few vocal hooks and a dynamic young group who can perform it. It gets my 12 points! ~ Dale

'Green Forces' has the most entrancing first 90 seconds of any song in this year’s JESC. It’s mysterious, has a driving dance beat and is full of interesting instrumental touches. Unfortunately, the second half of the song runs out of steam somewhat, relying too much on repetition of the chorus melody. I really like this, though, and I think there’s a lot of potential here for cool dancing and staging once we get to Paris in December. If the delegation nails the live performance, this could do very well indeed. ~ Craig

The save the planet theme returns to Junior Eurovision with a current sound that should appeal to the Junior demographic. I love the ethnic beats giving this a little more authenticity than your average Junior Eurovision song. I did find it a little repetitive but it’s an enjoyable listen nonetheless. ~ Emma

I haven't seen much hype for this entry but it's definitely the dark horse of Junior Eurovision 2021. The song is very solid and has great production choices throughout including hints of ethnic instrumentation. The staging is definitely the make or break for North Macedonia this year, let's hope they can smash it out of the park. ~ Cooper

A great beat underpins this song and the group vocals seem to work. A good live and surely this is a contender. ~ Mike

I like the way this song and its instrumentation shows off North Macedonia’s culture. The drop after the chorus is a bit odd production-wise but everything else about the song is wonderful. It would be fantastic to see the boys bring a ton of energy to the stage in Paris. ~ Laura

North Macedonia at Junior Eurovision

North Macedonia first competed in the inaugural Junior Eurovision in 2003 and has competed 15 times in the Contest. They have had varying results with two top 5 finishes in 2007 and 2008 but also a few last places. Their 2008 entry 'Prati mi SMS' was performed by Bobi Andronov, a 14-year-old Melbourne born singer. Bobi still releases music, you can check out our 'Australians of Eurovision: Bobi Andonov' piece about him here. They last competed in 2019 with ‘Fire’ by Mila Moskov.
