Georgia: Nutsa Buzaladze releases her Eurovision 2024 song 'Firefighter'

Nutsa Buzaladze has released her song for Eurovision 2024 titled 'Firefighter'. She was announced as Georgia's representative at the contest on January 12.

'Firefighter' was selected from 300 songs that were submitted to the Georgian Public Broadcaster. It is an ethno-pop song that features traditional Georgian instruments. The song was written by two North Macedonians. The first is Darko Dimitrov, who has previously written or produced Eurovision entries for North Macedonia (2006, 2013, 2014, 2019 & 2020), Albania (2015 & 2020), Serbia (2018, 2019 & 2021), and Montenegro (2022). The second is Ada Skitka.

The music video for 'Firefighter' was directed by Zaza Orashvili, whilst the costumes were designed by Aleksandre Akhalkatsishvili and Lasha Jokhadze.

The choregorapher for Nutsa's performance at Eurovision will be Italian Luigi Alocca. Nutsa will also be accompanied on-stage by four Italian dancers. American Sagiv Karpel will serve as the artistic stage director for Nutsa, making this a truly international entry. Sagiv has been involved with American Idol, America's Got Talent and Katy Perry's Prismatic world tour.

Nutsa will be hoping to overturn Georgia's dire record at adult Eurovision. The country has failed to qualify for the final since 2016. They made their debut in 2007 with Sopho's 'Visionary Dream'. Their best place was ninth which they achieved both in 2010 with Sofia Nizharadze's 'Shine' and Eldrine's 'One More Day' in 2011.

Georgia will compete in the second half of the second semi-final at Eurovision 2024, on May 9.
