2017 Eurovision representative for Montenegro Slavko Kalezic performed at the OGAE Australia Eurovision fan party overnight.
The event was a complete a sell out with many lining up for a special meet and greet with the man himself.
He was completely engaging, having conversations, photos and hugs with every fan who lined up to see him.
We at Aussievision definitely got caught up in the Slavko hype, grabbing a pic (above) and a hug as well as some tips for our upcoming trip to Montenegro. I mean... why not?
Accompanying Slavko on the trip was his UK Manager Lisa-Jayne Lewis (left in pic) who many will also know from ESCInsight podcast.
After all 43 songs had be shown and voted for (Finland won narrowly beating Israel) Slavko put on a special performance including his entry from 2017 'Space', his latest single 'El Ritmo' as well as a couple of Jessica Mauboy songs.
The crowd was completely won over chanting his name repeatedly. Slavko later shared how much the performance meant to him:
Fans themselves tweeted their hype:
Slavko was brought out thanks to the work of the OGAE Australian fan club. It was real coup to those involved - it's a long way to travel for European artists and we hope his appearance might encourage more artists to visit. Well done to all those who volunteered their time to organise the event.
